Amy Li-Chuan Chang

Amy Li-Chuan Chang received her Bachelor of Business degree in Taiwan in 1980. She found her passion for art during her eight years working for the Cloisonné Company while studying ceramics in a private pottery studio. After moving to Vancouver Amy went on to complete a Diploma of Studio Art from Capilano University in 2003 and a BFA from Emily Carr University of Art and Design in 2007. She was awarded a full scholarship for the 2007 summer session at the Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina, USA. In subsequent years Amy's work has showcased at a variety of international juried exhibitions such as the 2007 NCECA Clay National Exhibition in Louisville, Kentucky, USA; the 2008 Taiwan Ceramic Biennale in Taipei, Taiwan; and the 2011 Mino International Ceramic Competition in Nagoya, Japan. Amy has also shown her ceramic works in numerous galleries in Vancouver, including the BC Gallery of Ceramic in 2010, Richmond Art Gallery in 2008, and the Crafthouse gallery of BC Craft Council in 2006. Recently, Amy has just completed a 3 month artist residency program at the New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum.
